How much gas can I possibly hold back?

Is it possible to explode?How much gas can I possibly hold back?
I am not sure how much gas you can hold back, but I do know that you can have the gas you hold back explode. I would rather just let it out then have an eruption of not sweet smelling aromas. If anyone hears when you fart just say,"It's normal. You do it too." That is all I have got to say!

As much as you want. No you won't explode. But when you trap it in the body, it has to go other places, so you may get cramps or feel sharp pains in your arm or etc.
eat a bunch of mentos and then drink a bunch of diet coke.. then you'll experience gas like never before! just try holding that back! ;)
