How much does a medical assistant make compared to a nurse assistant?

... and is a physicians assistant the same as a medical assistant? How much does a medical assistant make compared to a nurse assistant?
No a physicians assistant is one step below the doc. They can prescribes meds and do physicals and examine patients and order tests. A medical assistant is close to a CNA except that they have had training in how to give shots where as a CNA does not give injections. Pay for a CNA/CMA is pretty much near the same but does depend on your locallity.
My friend is an STNA and just got a new job making $11.25. I do not know what a medical assistant makes-sorry. A physicians assistant is more involved than a medical assistant. A friend of my husband's has a wife who is a medical assistant and they trained her in the office-no schooling. She can take bloodpressure and things like htat, but not complete exams and prescribe medications. My cousin is a physicians assistant with a degree from the University of Findlay and is an OB/GYN. She actually has her own patients and completes exams on her own-just like a regular doctor. Hope this helps you some!
That's a good way to get a dirty look from a PA. Compare them to a nurse or medical assistant. We have WAY more training and can diagnose and treat just as a doctor would. Only difference is we have a supervising physician. Actually we have to re-certify more often that any other medical profession. Every 6 years.
