How save is purified water using the reverses osmosis equipment?
Both clean and safe.
When I was stationed in Egypt, I learned that parts of Israel get all their water from the sea, purified by reverse osmosis. They've been doing it for decades.
The trips I took to Israel, the water tasted fine - nice and soft, no chemically taste or odor like some hard waters you find.
the membrane in reverse osmosis doesn't permit the large molecule of salt and some chemicals pass through of it. but some viruses may pass. so after the desalination it needs to add chloride.
