How would one USE Adderall?

Let's say, hypothetically, that one of my friends found some Adderall on the ground (Adderall XR 15mg tablets to be exact). What would be the safest way to consume them? What effects might my friend have at first? And later on?
Are there any fairly probably side effects that may occur?
