How similar are flexeril and valium?

How similar are flexeril and valium?
both can be used to treat muscle spasms.flexerile is used to treat them short term,it is a skeletal muscle relaxant.valium is stronger and is also used foe anxiety(nervousness),acute alcohol withdrawl,seizures and for preoperative sedation.there is a big difference in them with drug classification,and there is a possibility of abuse and addiction with valium.if choosing which to use id choose flexeril first if it didnt work/help you talk to your dr about it hope this helped

They are not similar. They are two totally different classes of drugs, and have little in common even in their incidental effects.

Ive been disabled for over 15 years,, valium is a drug that relaxes your mind and your smooth muscles,such as intestine ,has a calming effect,.heart,
,ect..Flexeril a large skeletal muscle relaxer,such as back muscles leg cramps ,neck cramps.They both make you tired and should not be taken with alcohol.you should have a script from a doctor also & he/she can explain it better. & yes you can over dose on them. be carefull.
