Before it doesn't work properly anymore? How long should you keep Suntan and Aftersun Lotion?
a good rule of thumb is after one season it's done. So if you live someplace where you need it all the time, I would not let it sit any longer than 3 months! Most of those lotions have an expiration date on them, but as a nurse, I've never used it longer than 3 months.
Generally 1-2 years, depending on how you store it. If you keep it in your car a lot and it's exposed to heat, then about a year. If you keep it in your house where the temperature is about constant, 2-3 years. Formulas change yearly, so I'd play it safe and buy new ones every year.
i never store over winter- for peace of mind buy fresh every year
i always chuck mine away at the end of summer if there's any left ,and then buy new the next year.
