How long until eyes desensitize to new contact lenses?
If your wearing contact lenses for the first time it will take about an hour to get used to having something in your eyes, after that you'll have an adaption period where you build up wearing time until your up to the maximum time you are allowed to wear that type of contact lens for.
If you've worn them before and its just a lens change then it takes about 1 minute.
dpeneding on which lenses you get could change the time it takes you to get used to the lenses for example daily disposables are more confortable than coloured lenses.
1 year for new prescription 2 months for new set of contacts, sometimes less. You can tell if you need a new pair when they get blurry and thinned down.
It varies. When I first got soft lenses, they felt comfortable immediately and providing they weren't in for too many hours at a time, they were great.
I got gas permeable lenses at one point and never got used to them, they were terrible.
I think it's down to individuals. It could takes hours, weeks or months.
It depends on your eyes, I have very sensitive eyes so I couldn't wear contacts, but my sisters could wear them. Contacts are usually pretty soft, so shouldn't take long to get used to, but it depends on your eyes more than anything!
