How long does vicoden stay in your bloodstream for a drug test?
Most painkillers have a half life in the bloodstream. That means it is still evident in your system for the half the time it was effective plus the amount of time it was effective. (If it effected you for 2 hours, then it is evident in your system for 3 hours. If it effected you 8 hours, then it is evident in your system for 12 hours.)
Like this: 8 (amt. of time useful for treating pain)divided by 2(half of usefulness-this is the "half" life) equals 4, plus 8 equals 12.
The 72 hour rule is meant to scare you-only amphetamines are detected in your system for 72 hours.
up to 72hrs., but if you are being drug-tested you shouldn't be taking them, especially since you don't even know what you're doing to keep from getting caught...
I've heard Vicodin takes about 72 hours to clear out of your urine. So, if you are taking a urine test, 3-4 days should do.
If it is a blood test, I'm sure they can detect it for weeks or even months after you've taken it.
About four days for it to fully work it's way out of your blood. Sometimes it depends on how much you took, because if you're anything like me, it would take a few more days.
